The Power of Havening Techniques for Deep Relaxation

One of the sad realities of modern life is that our nervous systems are almost always over-taxed and frequently dysregulated. This keeps us stuck in cycles of chronic stress and anxiety … and makes it really hard to truly relax.

When our nervous systems are so stressed, superficial relaxation techniques like a quick meditation or a bubble bath just won’t cut it.

True relaxation requires us to regulate our nervous systems in such a way that we create a safe and loving internal environment on a somatic, or body, level.

Havening Techniques® is one of the most powerful tools I’ve found for achieving this.

Havening Techniques is a profoundly effective somatic practice that effectively down-regulates the nervous system and enhances overall well-being and resilience. It acknowledges the deep connection between our brains and bodies, using the gentle power of touch to foster a sense of safety and connection within.

This approach offers a holistic path to self-care that transcends surface-level relaxation, addressing the roots of our stress and anxiety.

The magic of Havening lies in its ability to generate Delta waves in the brain. These slow, calming brainwaves facilitate neurochemical changes in the limbic system, which help to down-regulate the stress response.
